Races of Note:

* (Sept. 10) Detroit Titan Invitational – Kate Scott took first-place for the second consecutive week to lead Bucknell to the team title at the Detroit Titan Invitational.
* (Oct. 14) Penn State National – Bucknell placed ninth among a competitive field of 19 teams, finishing ahead of ACC programs Pittsburgh and Virginia.
* (Oct. 29) Patriot League Championship – the Bison became the first team in Patriot League history to take the top four spots in the standings, led by Bendinzski, who became the fourth Bison runner and the first since 2006 to win the individual race. Bucknell dominated, finishing with a score of 23, topping last year’s total of 34. The Bison’s point total was the lowest by any team since Navy won with 23 in 2008, but that came in an eight-team field.

* (Nov. 11) NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional – Scott became the first Bison since 2006 to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA National Championship, leading the team to a sixth-place showing among 28 teams.

Looking Ahead to 2017: The Bison women have traditionally been a power in the Patriot League and that shouldn’t change in 2017. Christine Bendzinski, last season’s individual champion, and Colleen Buckley, who earned First Team All-Patriot League honors after finishing fourth a season ago, return to the fold. Also back are Anna Chiodo-Ortiz, Margaret Thomson and Jenna Farmer, who each finished in the top-20 at the Patriot League Championship. Christine O’Kane, a 2015 all-league selection, and sophomore Lauren Gronbeck will help bolster a Bison lineup in pursuit of their third straight Patriot League title.

Season/Home Opener: (Sept. 1) Bison Open
